The iconic Stoke Park clubhouse, built in 1795 is the historic home of the 27-hole championship course known as Stoke Poges, one of the finest parkland courses in the country and a ‘must play’ course. Just 30 minutes from Heathrow International Airport and 45 minutes from central London, this is the ideal business venue or a perfect base from which to enjoy all that London has to offer.
Stoke Park consists of three 9-hole courses namely the Colt, Alison and the Jackson. They are well manicured course as you would expect from one of Britain’s golfing resorts. The fairways appear narrow but are actually very generous, with strategically placed bunkers. There are plenty of 400-yard par 4 holes, so you will need to play good golf to score well. Although you may well be distracted by the exquisite views, you will find these courses challenging and demanding, with large slick greens that are true and receptive to good shots. The best hole on this course is the 7th on the Colt taking its inspiration from the 12th hole at the Augusta. Go long or left and you will find bunkers or rough, if your short or right and you are in the water. The only safe place is the green! The courses has been included in the top 100 courses in the world and the top 10 spa and conference facilities in the UK.
