The Belfry
Location
The Belfry is inextricably linked in our minds with matches between USA and Europe for the Ryder Cup, as it has hosted the event 4 times.
The Brabazon Course is of course the one we all want to play, having seen our golfing heroes battle it out over the years, but don’t forget that this is also home to the challenging PGA National and The Derby courses set in 550 acres of Warwickshire countryside, situated in the very heart of England.
We all get excited about playing holes that we’ve seen hundreds of times on TV. Two such holes are the 10th & 18th which make the Brabazon a must-play course. The 18th requires nerve, as you have to decide how much water to cut off from the tee. Your second shot to a triple-tiered green is your prize for clearing the massive lake. The hole that seems to sum up the Belfry for many of us is the 10th hole, which as a 300 yard par 4 is drivable over water. We have all seen Seve do it. Will you go for it?
