Kyle Phillip, creator of the incredible Kingsbarns course, designed the Grove course. Built to USGA standard this immaculate course has a hidden cart path running the full length of its 7,150 yards. It is a great challenge and will test your game to the full. It has a traditional feel, following the natural slopes, ridges and contours of the Hertfordshire countryside. The front nine has a links-like atmosphere to it with the back nine returning to a parkland setting. The fairways are so lush that the ball sits up invitingly for every shot, making it easy to make a clean contact. The greens remind you of those at The Augusta National, as they are undulating and fast. Gary Player has said that this course is ‘without doubt one of the finest public facilities anywhere in the world’.
