The K Club Resort offers your friends and clients a unique opportunity to play two of the greatest courses in Ireland. Both courses were designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and they give you the rare chance to play on courses that have tamed some of the leading contemporary golfing superstars.
The Palmer course hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup and is one of Europe’s most spectacular courses. Its undulating fairways, flanked by old trees and water hazards, make this a superb challenge for any golfer. The speed of the green will also send the nervous putter, scurrying for the clubhouse. The Smurfit course, home to The Smurfit European Open since 1995 is a complete contrast to the Palmer course but has received equal praise and has been deemed by some to be the greatest inland course in Ireland.
Dramatic landscapes, with dune type moulding make this course a great challenge but what makes it different is the fourteen acres of water which have been worked into the design of the course, especially from holes 13 to 18, where a watery grave awaits any wayward shot.
